Requires (already installed and working):
1-ImageMagick-5.4.3 package (due to changes in API, different versions could not work)
2-libmng-1.0.0 package
3-zlib-1.1.3 package
4-libgts-0.5.1 package (requires glib)
5-libmyfon (requires freetype,glib,and gts)

MNG Multiple Network Graphics Format example produced by meditor-0.6, I suppose browsers could not have player (use >=mozilla-0.9.8, cool), I use mngplay which is distributed with libmng-1.0.0.tar.gz. Different filters could compress better/worst each image but "no filter" option will compress better RGB images:

PNG images can appear something bad in old netscape but are smaller at same quality than other formats. If it appears bad I suggest you to download images and use another image viewer as xv/display/qiv/etc to see them.
